Chapter 9.4 - Making PC Controlled Serial Robot using 8051 Microcontroller on Breadboard - Practical Tutorial

Now, as we told in the earlier chapter that we are going to remove some of the breadboard connections. Here is the step wise procedure.

1. Your older circuit will look something like shown in the following image.

2. Just carefully remove the components attached to LM324 Comparator IC as shown in the following image. Be careful and compare it while you are doing the same.

3. Now power up the circuit and connect USB to UART or TTL to 8051 Microcontroller.

One thing is not shown in the picture of which we will write the connections.
Take your USB to UART or TTL and do the following connections:
USB to UART or TTL RX pin <----> Tx pin or pin no 11 of 8051 Microcontroller
USB to UART or TTL TX pin <----> Rx pin or pin no. 10 of 8051 Microcontroller
USB to UART or TTL Gnd <----> Gnd lane of Bread Board.
